How Our ‘Let’s Hang Out’ Activity is Empowering People with Disabilities.

At Gelato Home Decor, we believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to connect, grow, and shine. That’s why we’ve created “Let’s Hang Out”, a Centre-Based Group Activity designed specifically to empower people with disabilities through social engagement, skill-building, and meaningful community participation.

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides funding for activities that support Increased Social and Community Participation — helping participants build skills for independence, confidence, and connection in everyday life. “Let’s Hang Out” is a perfect fit for these goals.

Our 3-hour sessions are fun, relaxed, and structured to provide a safe, welcoming space where participants can:

• Meet new people and make friends in a supportive, inclusive environment

• Engage in enjoyable games and activities that promote relaxation and confidence

• Learn new skills, like candle-making, that foster creativity and personal achievement

A light, healthy lunch is provided to keep everyone energized. Our Polaroid Station allows participants to capture their favourite moments — whether it’s a fun snapshot of the day or a memory with a new friend.

To participate, your NDIS plan should include funding for Increased Social and Community Participation, allowing you to fully benefit from this experience.
